Brick by Brick: Rebuilding When Life Breaks You Open

There’s a quiet kind of unraveling that happens when you stop holding it all together.

It doesn’t always come with warning signs. Sometimes it’s subtle—a forgotten password, a missed deadline, or a moment in the car when you no longer recognize the woman staring back in the rearview mirror.

That was me a few weeks ago. Not breaking down… but breaking open.

I had been operating in survival mode for so long—navigating caregiving, grief, burnout, and business—until my body finally said, “enough.” When I got still enough to listen, everything shifted.

Because in the silence, I could finally hear the truth: This season wasn’t calling me to hustle harder. It was inviting me to let God rebuild me. Not into the old version of myself—the one who could juggle everything while smiling through the pain—but into someone new. Softer. Stronger. More surrendered.

What I didn’t expect was that the very podcast I created for her—The Confident Woman—would speak right back to me. My own words became reminders of who I am. It felt like God was speaking through me… to me.

So this week, I want to speak to you the same way. If you’re walking through your own hard season, I hope this lands where you need it most.

3 Steps to Rebuild from Within:

  1. Let the grief come, without rushing it away. Grief isn’t linear. Some days, you might cry for no reason. Other days, you’ll feel numb. But healing begins when you stop trying to fix it and finally give yourself permission to feel it.
  2. Create order in the chaos through simple anchors. Little routines like opening the blinds, drinking water, or making the bed aren’t just tasks—they’re signals to your nervous system that you’re still here. Still showing up. Still becoming.
  3. Show up for yourself with just one healing habit a day. Not ten. Not a curated morning routine. Just one thing that reconnects you to you—a prayer, a walk, a nourishing meal, a few quiet moments with a journal. Let it be enough. Because it is.

3 Points to Ponder:

  • What have I been avoiding that actually needs my attention?
  • Where have I experienced peace—even if only for a moment?
  • What part of me is being rebuilt, even if I can’t see it yet?

Scripture for the Soul

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” — John 14:27

This verse means something different to me now. Because the peace God offers isn’t something we earn. It doesn’t come from striving, control, or perfection. It comes from stillness, surrender, and the willingness to let go.

Peace is already yours. You just have to slow down long enough to receive it.

How to Rebuild Your Life (and Confidence) After a Hard Season

This solo episode is an honest behind-the-scenes look at what it really means to rebuild. What gets stripped away in grief. What healing asks of us. And how confidence doesn’t come from perfection—but from trusting God to lead you through.

If life feels a little shaky beneath your feet, this one’s for you. → Listen here

Ready to Go Deeper?

This isn’t about pushing through. It’s about coming home to yourself. If you’re walking through your own healing season, here are the exact tools I’m using right now—and I invite you to join me.

  1. I Am… Enough (Free Reset Guide) A 10-minute identity reset to help you come home to who you are. → Download the Free Reset
  2. Chasing Perfection + Bonus Bundle For the woman who’s been trying to hold it all together—this is your mirror and your permission slip. Includes the full book, workbook, and extras. → Grab the Bundle
  3. I Am… Becoming (6-Week Devotional Experience) My favorite resource in this season—daily audio devotionals, scripture, and journaling prompts to guide you through healing and identity. → Start the Journey

You don’t have to rush. You don’t have to prove. You don’t have to be anyone other than who you are right now.

The woman you’re becoming? She’s being built right here—in the middle of it all. Brick by brick, breath by breath, step by step.

So give yourself the grace to go slow. You’re not behind. You’re becoming. And you don’t have to walk it alone.

I’m walking with you.

XO,

PS – If this message spoke to you, it might be exactly what another woman in your life needs. Forward this to her as a reminder: she’s not alone, and she’s not too far gone to come back to who she is.
